Compare the Potette Plus reusable liner vs disposable liners for travel potty use. Find out which option suits your toddler's potty training needs best.
Quick answer
Choose the Potette Plus reusable liner if you want a cost-effective, washable option for repeated use at home or on short trips. Choose the disposable liners for maximum convenience and easy cleanup when you're out and about.
Key differences at a glance
The Potette Plus reusable liner is collapsible and designed for repeated use, making it a budget-friendly choice for frequent potty training sessions. In contrast, the disposable liners are single-use, absorbent, and biodegradable, ideal for travel or situations where washing isn't practical.
Both liners are compatible with the Potette Plus and Max potties, but their features cater to different priorities: the reusable liner prioritizes reusability and a built-in wee-guard, while the disposable liners prioritize absorbency and environmental friendliness.
When to choose each
If you're potty training at home and need a liner that can be washed and reused multiple times, the reusable liner is the better choice. Its collapsible design also makes it convenient for storing in a nappy bag for short outings.
For trips where you won't have easy access to a sink or washing facilities, the disposable liners are more practical. They hold up to 150ml of liquid and can be disposed of like a nappy, reducing mess and hassle.
Trade-offs to consider
- Cost per use: Reusable liner costs more upfront but can be used hundreds of times. Disposable liners are cheaper per pack but require ongoing purchases. If you potty train daily, the reusable liner pays for itself within weeks.
- Convenience: Disposable liners are ready to use and can be thrown away after one use. Reusable liners need to be rinsed or washed after each use. For quick trips or when away from home, disposables save time and effort.
- Environmental impact: Reusable liner generates less waste over time. Disposable liners are biodegradable but still single-use. Eco-conscious families may prefer the reusable liner for daily use, reserving disposables for travel.
